I think it was primarily the numbers of items required (particularly per weapons) and minimal RNG that were issues for many, but I can't be certain about that, heh. I definitely think removing the mystery will help a lot, as I remember that being overall unpopular with a ton of the userbase. The whole quest thing wasn't a bad idea for it, but it'd be nice to let everyone have a shot at the gold trophy (trophies).

I would definitely agree with throwing in some feathers in warrior and explore events, or just as a random chance! Thank you so much for the information, and your dedication to the site. It's much appreciated, and looking forward to hearing more! :3

We're not likely going to have enough time to make sweeping changes, though I can confirm things like the mystery will not be available this time around - we'll need to look at other options for the trophy.

I'd like to make the event more accessible, but without redesigning it entirely I'm not sure how feasible that will be. I'll try to push the RNG in the right direction, and maybe throw in some feathers in battlegrounds/exploration events as well. Once the DMM items are done I'll ask for as much information as possible regarding last year's code, then we'll go from there.

I think it'd be helpful to have a list of items able to be used, as I remember that being a problem last year. And in addition, if you guys would be willing to kick down the number of weapons required per trade? I think two or three is manageable for most users, but five (the amount for minipets, which are usually breedable / can be obtained in much vaster numbers in a much faster time frame) seems a bit excessive. I think the higher yield idea is awesome, but also to have a somewhat lower RNG chance for the more valuable weapons even without such high-quality equipment being swapped for it (hope that makes sense). ^^

I just remember that while I loved the Serpent's Fest last year, it was one of the least popular (either before or after the Tourney / DMM event) events as it seemed to be solely geared towards those who had both loads of time and money to spare. Something that's achievable by more casual players but still can let hardcore players feel like their extra time and effort goes a decent way.

Anyways, I'm excited to see what you guys come up with! Figured it wouldn't hurt to have some user feedback from what I witnessed last year! ^^

The design shouldn't change much from last year, but we'll need to do some testing with the new equipment ahead of time. I don't expect common weapons to be an option for the serpent, and I'd like for higher value items to have better yields - due to time restrictions this may not be possible, though. Once I know more I'll let you know.

Admin-Mat Admin-Wisteria Wasn't sure which of you to ping! Wanted to check and make sure for the Serpent's Festival we're still doing the Pet / Weapon Sink? And will items from things like the ones from basic warrior grounds (like the Axes and Rusted Maces) be accepted?

yeah, wondering why it wasn't separated by costume type, unless it was intended that one winner was chosen only? or maybe they want to release multiple galaxy/angelic costumes if those options placed higher in the poll? I didn't have as much of a hard time voting for this as I did with TEP though! xP

like others have said, having it separated by costume type again would be nice. after the feedback last time and positive reception when it was remade that way im kinda surprised its not.
