Zombie Rabbit Villager Concerns

Good evening everyone! It seems there is a bit of upset regarding one of our Dragonsmaw Manor Event villager colorations due to the gore factor. Unfortunately we are restricted by coding and will not be able to tag the colorations for those users that are not comfortable with this type of content.
But what I can do is offer an option to any user that wishes to own this coloration and also wants to be sure other users are still comfortable viewing their profiles and villagers!
We will create a thread, once the Magic Zombie Rabbit Plush is officially released, for users to request that their villager be "paintied". Users will provide a villager link to their Zombie Rabbits and I will go through, putting "Painties" onto the villager (the exact same image) so that the Gore tag can be added.
I hope that this will be helpful to all parties. Thank you for expressing your concerns and being patient with us.
EDIT: I am discussing options with some of my Mod team as we are reading your comments and seeing that the proposed solution may not work as we'd like it to. Once we have a solid hold on a final plan we will let you all know! Thanks again for being patient and working with us!

And now I realized that it would be nice to see an item that is a part of the site. But for this I would recommend that Furvilla just changes the whole image.
Most people use browsers that can have add-ons. There are plenty of add-ons that can block specific images on sites. I've blocked several avatars and signatures on different forums before just because I don't like the image (political/religious/flashy image). Then I just don't have to look at it anymore. You can have an adblock add-on and keeping it off on Furvilla to support the site and just block specific images. Please do this if you can to avoid giving the staff too much work that is mostly unnecessary and only concerns a small number of users. This site is having too much trouble with coding already. You people can easily moderate yourselves. Please do it.
Maybe make a 'toned down' version as a the base, and the 'paintie' would be the original? The only thing that mildly bugs me is the eye.
I think the rabbit is really cool and I really hope you guys find a way for those of us who do love it to get it.

All in all though, I'm glad a situation is trying to be found for this.
To be truthful though, I'm kind of wondering why this wasn't thought of beforehand - like, why they didn't think about the backlash and distress this particular pet would cause.
CherieBits I'm really lucky my two squicks are kinds of gore no one does! That must really suck, intestine gore is so common. The thing that bugs me about the intestine on the zombunny is that those intestines are in the wrong place entirely. They're leaking out of what should be the liver or stomach. Anyway, this should be discussed outside of the news post as we're derailing a bit!
Luckyclaw I'm in a similar situation! In general im pretty desensitized to a lot of gore (primarily from anime such as Umineko), but the only thing I legitimately cant do is the stomach guts/intestines part (bad luck for me though, as thats the sort of gore that 90% of the people I run into tend to enjoy)
I'm no good at being sincere, but for real, thank you so much for working on this issue! You didn't have to do it, you could have just said "tough luck" to all the people who can't stand gore, but you're looking for a solution and for that I'm really grateful to you guys. Thank you for listening to us, I really mean it.
I hope there's a solution where the fans of this color can get the art the way they want, and the gore-sensitive can avoid looking at something so upsetting. My only issue personally is the dangling eye (which squicks me out very badly), but the rest of the rabbit I love, and I have a lot of friends who can't bear to look at this. I'm on every side of this issue so I really hope a solution can be met that pleases everyone.

I'm glad you guys aren't scrapping the design, it's a wonderful one and I know many are looking forward to it. I hope you find a solution, and I'm very happy you guys aren't changing the design!
