About

-Shrewd business woman
-Greedy and shallow. Can, and has, screwed over a lot of people in the past.
-Likes physical things like suits, fine dinners, jewelry
-Her intellect can be unsettling. Has bright eyes that look like they analyze everything you're doing and thinking. Has outsmarted several of the brightest people in the settlement, including Tennan, in her quest for money.
-She only seemed to stop looking for ways to make more money after Valio's election...
-Widely untrusted in the settlement.

-Semi-friends with Ambriel, but Ryukyu has done a lot to break Ambriel's trust so they're in a lukewarm truce.
-Ambriel is always the first to know about what's on Ryukyu's mind when it comes to business decisions though.
-Ryukyu doesn't like opening up to people but she seems to be trying.
-Dodges every personal question about her past with deft skill.
-Aunt of Mandarin

-After Tennan's Settlement had a population boom, the small greenhouse operated by Shizen and Ambriel started to crack under the pressure of providing food and material to a large amount of people. They just didn't have the business experience to know what to do.
-When all seemed bleak, Ryukyu showed up out of seemingly nowhere. She proposed a plan to expand the greenhouse and create an entire farm, in exchange for partial ownership. Created a contract that she commanded the government of Tenset to sign. Reluctant but desperate, the council conceded.
-Ryukyu was not the savior she appeared to be, though. The contract allowed her to slowly take over the operation and become a food providing monopoly in the town, even forcing ranchers and fishers to sell their food through her business.
-She caused food prices to skyrocket. Many people started to starve. The government of Tenset, run by Tennan at the time, started to undo parts of her contract. However, it was too late. Ryukyu had a monopoly and was able to crush any competitors that were allowed to spring up. Nothing could be done without harsh regulations on business, which the Tennan-lead council refused to do.

-This was a major cause of Valio's election as mayor. After being elected, Valio passed hard regulations on Ryukyu's tactics, setting a maximum price for certain foods to be sold in the town, buying out the farmland where crops were planted, and providing grants to other food providers to re-introduce competition (including the bunny cult).
-There's even rumors that he spoke with Ryukyu personally... her personality quickly changed in the span of a week, around the time regulations were being passed. If this is true, then he must have told her something truly bone-chilling because she appears to have been 'scared straight'.

-Currently trying to patch things up with her employees, and make actual friends...
-Shizen got her a beautiful necklace with his own money. She wears it every day.
