Rudy is an ex-pirate. Well, ex-pirate slave to be exact, considering he never wanted to be a pirate in the first place. He was kidnapped and placed onto a pirate ship at the age of 7 (the same time he lost his left arm), first to do all the same work other child labor workers did, and then moved on up as an engineer. It wasn't until recently that he and his only friends managed to escape the ship, and they have parted ways for now.



Rudy is pretty well-educated for someone who's been on a pirate ship most of his life, and was perhaps one of the smartest crew members. He excels in intelligence but lacks a lot of strength and body mass in comparison to his fellow shipmates, and was also one of the shortest crew members who wasn't a runt. He's not a very sociable person and prefers being alone to work on private projects, social anxiety adding to his distaste in being in large and/or unfamiliar crowds. He tends to stay quiet around people he doesn't know, but when angered enough he can be very snarky and sarcastic (and this has definitely gotten him into trouble with much larger pirates). He may come off as salty, but he's very kind and caring to people who are underprivileged and deserve love.
