Fenrir was born in the snowy land of Jotunhiem. He grew rapidly and learned to hunt with his father at an early age. However, we was taken by hunters and locked up, intending on being used for breeding and fighting. After a few months in captivity, he quickly grew too massive and strong for any cage to hold him and broke free, running away and overpowering his captures.
He ran until he no longer could, collapsing and falling into a frozen river, having cracked under his weight. He'd nearly drowned, had it not been for an Arctic Fox and his friends pulling him out to safety and nursing him to health. He feels he owes the fox a great deal, but doesn't enjoy that fact one bit.

Due to the shock of the cold and what he had gone through, he barely remembers anything, both from captivity and childhood. This never gets him down, however, but leaves him slightly immature for his age.
He thinks almost everything is dumb and is generally dull-witted, but he seems to think more than anyone acknowledges.
