Sylvia the Storm Stopper!
Sylvia has incredibly strong wind-based powers and her mood can affect the weather. Her naturally-cheery disposition has made her the perfect candidate for protecting those who call Quetzal Palace their home from storms that could prove dangerous.
While sometimes Via is available to clear the skies for events like weddings or festivals, she has a higher calling of duty and reports first and foremost to the Serpent itself for the sake of all those who call it their home.
Although their personalities clash significantly, Sylvia greatly respects and reports to Mayor Ana to get most of her assignments. Via's always trying to pull little pranks on Ana to get her to finally crack a smile for once, but then she's always getting scolded on her unprofessional workplace manners by that stern wolfy faced fuddy-duddy.
If you ask Sylvia about herself, she will tell you all the things she thinks are important and none of the stuff that actually is. The best way to learn about her is either through observation, interaction, or asking those close to her who can be relied upon to be honest.
Despite being a well-known name throughout the Celestial Gardens, and even the entirety of Quetzel Palace itself, Sylvia is not what you'd expect from someone of that level of importance. She relentlessly couch surfs at her friend's homes because she likes integrating herself into someone else's life for a while before extracting herself and wandering off to the next couch.
When she stays with Berryanne, she sleeps on the couch right in her bedroom so they can chat right up until one of them falls asleep. Neptune has a spare hammock in storage that they set up for her when she comes to visit, and they set them up like bunk beds - but hammocks! Poppy secretly loves it when Via shacks up with her for a while because Sylvia makes herself very useful around the shop. When Sylvia goes to stay with Tiamat she gets banished to an inflatable couch in the attic because Tia's sensitive ears need silence at night in order for her to sleep. Mayor Ana is too paranoid of Via's pranks to give Sylvia access to her house, but she had the cot in the back of her office replaced with a couch just for Via.
Sylvia love her friends more than anything and is always happy to help them however she can with her free time. Lots of her friends have really serious jobs with lots of responsibility, they lack a lot of the same freedom that Sylvia gets to enjoy. Whoever's hosting her finds themselves accompanied by a friendly, funny, and dedicated helper. When it comes to helping friends out with work to help lighten their workload, she's all business and doesn't mess around. But then once she's helped earn them some free time, her real work begins! Forcing her fuddy-duddy friends to have some fun!
