Snip is from a colder climate hive. They've got many of the classic cold weather adaptations - thick fur and smaller extremities for example. They've also got a similar adaptation in their legs as many birds - reduced bloodflow to save on heat while maintaining just enough warmth to keep the legs from freezing.
Snip is a typical messenger when it comes to personality. 'Dumb and happy'. They are a bit bigger than most messenger units, about the size of a corgi (as opposed to a dragonfly). Snip's type is intended for long-distance messaging, though in the Oceandome this is not feasible.
Instead, Snip contributes by donating their fluffy fur and helping with finding things. And carrying things.
