Lycanthropy. Changes into a beastly monster after exposure to moonlight or especially frustrating board games. Howling at the moon relieves the symptoms for a little while, but use a Golden Apple for best results.
About
Gamma is from a pelagic hive. Rather than a stable colony, they form pods and travel.
The spawner of this pelagic colony has been adapted to become a massive 'air support base'. Other colony members build semi-temporary structures on her back.
Gamma's role was diving to the ocean floor and collecting materials. As she became older, he had trouble keeping up with the pod and was transferred. Here she can perform small trips around the dome, hunting and collecting materials.
While he is incapable of moving on land, she's still happy to poke his head into the dome every now and then.
