Vampirism. Symptoms include craving blood, sensitivity to sunlight, an allergy to garlic, and changing into a bat after especially forceful sneezes. If they start to sparkle, immediately consume a Golden Apple to cure the infection.

Fighter units are used for hunting, defending the hive as well as coordinated attacks.
Personalitywise they tend toward extroversion and playful behaviour, with group cohesion being a high priority.
During their free time, a fighter class tarspawn will spend most of their time engaging in physical play like wrestling or chasing one another, or grooming.

The everted snout is a quirk of design. An ancient officer sought to alter the shape of their fighters' snouts, but found the noseplate (the shiny black plate) to be a weak point. Instead of spending time finding the appropriate switches to strengthen the noseplate, this officer simply designed the mouth such that the bones would emerge from underneath the plate.
Later on this modified snout would allow for variations such as an elongated head for fishing or a heavily reinforced one for increased bite force.

For a fighter, Rymir is unusually sullen and low-energy. They are not interested in most play, and prefer working with their paws. The rest of Rymir's squad is puzzled and off-put. This suits Rymir fine, as they are given plenty of space as a result.
The officer in charge of their squad has simply assigned Rymir to work by themselves. There is not much to be done, as tarspawn do not cull their own.
