Arch Duchess is Grand Duchess's Mother and Duchess's Great Grandmother and was the matriarch of The Garden before her daughter and granddaughter, of which the title and responsibility was passed down. She was fondly referred to as "Mammy" before she crossed the Rainbow Bridge many years ago. She was stern, and her presence commanded respect, but she was no less loved than those that came after.
Arch Duchess was the founder of The Garden, and sewed many of the seeds of it's now numerous flora and plant life with her own two wings. It's unknown how, where or even when she came in to possession of some of the extremely rare and one of a kind plants that The Garden displays.
The hybrid Weeping Willow Wisteria tree was the first cross bred plant within The Garden that, over the years, became the home of the Duchess lineage.
The image of the villager you see is actually that of a detailed portrait that was carved into the bark of this very tree by a very skilled craftsman many many years ago.
