Neelix is incredibly friendly and talkative, at times, too much - to the point where it annoys others. However, he does not let others annoyance of him dampen his spirits. He's street smart and intuitive, and not a half-bad cook. Even if some of the things he creates are questionable due to his odd assortment and collection of alien fauna and flora.
He, like anyone, has his vices and sometimes falls prey to them. But often times, he sees the error of his ways and comes to terms, and will apologize if he knows he's wrong.
