Villager: Primrose

Near the center of the town, you're surprised to see a large fountain surrounded by a garden, a floral dutch angel dragon tending to the blooms. You can see the flowers perking up in his presence; somehow becoming brighter and healthier around him.

The dutch angel dragon looks up at your approach.

"Oh, hello. Who are you?"

"A visitor, how lovely. I'm Primrose, and the resident spirit of spring. This here is my partner and friend, Gloria. She's been my little good luck charm all these years."

"Huh? Oh, a spirit of spring is one of the four seasonal spirits. Our jobs are to take care of our respective seasons; I rejuvenate the land along with other spirits of spring, melting the snow and frost and making the land green and blossom again. After the season, summer takes over, and does their thing with the land."

"What? No, we're not enemies. Why would we be? It's just change. The land needs our cycles in order to be healthy; permanent spring would just wear it out into decay. There's a reason winter is called the season of rest. The land needs to recover."

"Yep, I do live here! When I'm not out doing my thing, this is where I hang. I rather like the place, and the people living here. It's definitely a homely place, that's for sure."

"What do I do in my free time? Well, I knit. It's different from what Mateo does, he crochets. I like making things like bracelets and blankets and necklaces. Giving gifts you've made yourself to your friends is a rather special feeling, don't you think?"

"Yeah, I do help out in the greenhouse sometimes. Xander and I both do; Camellia and Kiara grow everything from flowers to crops, after all. And it's not like I have a blanket influence over growing things; far from it. Anything that blooms or ripens in spring I can do, but things that flower in winter or produce crops in summer? Nope, not my area of expertise."

"Anyway, speaking of the greenhouse, I promised Kiara I'd help her out with a rather stubborn plantimal seed as soon as I was done with the plants here. Which I will be in a minute. If you want to know more about the other two nature spirits, Xander and Arya, you can find them in the orchard and the hilltop respectively. And little Tiberius too. He’s a holiday spirit, you see, specifically of New Years. He’s quite the little treasure. Anyway, hopefully you'll enjoy your stay here; in the meantime, I've got to get back to work."

And with that, the spirit of spring turns his attention back to the flowers. You take that as your cue to leave him be.
