Walking along the beach and investigating the tide pools scattered about the area, you see you are not the only one who’s had that idea. A little leafy sea dragon and a Heron Bird Bloom look up at you from where they’d previously been bent over a tide pool, investigating an anemone.
"Oh hi! I haven’t seen you around before. I’m Caireann, and my friend here is Aodhán. Don’t worry, he’s really gentle!"
The cool, assessing glare from the plantimal tells you that that can change, and change fast.
"Anyway, the two of us live here with my dad, Ronan, and twin brother, Corwin. He’s the pink and purple dragon, while dad’s the sea turtle dragon. He’s blind, but you can’t sneak up on him. Believe me, Corwin and I have tried."
"Why do we look so different? Well, I take more after dad, while my twin takes more after mom. It’d make more sense if you could see her, but she’s been gone since we were little."
"I miss momma. But even though she can't be here to hug us or play with us or anything anymore, we can still talk to her! We just give Shiloh some candy, and he takes a letter from us to momma and comes back to us with a letter she wrote. It's...it's so nice, being able to talk with momma again, even through letters...and on Halloween, momma gets to actually come visit us. She can only stay for that one day, but we get to be with her again, and it's..."
Cairean swipes at her eyes, sniffling a little.
"A-anyway. Are you a visitor here, or are you moving in too?"
"Just visiting? That’s cool. We were visiting too not that long ago, and we liked it a lot here so dad decided to move here. We used to live in an underwater village not far from Oceandome, but there was nobody our age to play with and it was sad. I have other kids to play with here though!"
"What do I like doing? Well, I like swimming around offshore to see all the plants and creatures in the Great Furvilla Reef. Tide pools are great too, cause you can find lots of things in them if you’re lucky."
At this Caireann gestures to the pool in front of her, which upon closer inspection has clownfish and a crab in addition to the anemone.
"They’re super cool."
"Oh, you’re leaving? Okay. I’ll see you later then. Oh but while you’re here, you’ve got to stop by Tienyo’s pasture and Camellia’s greenhouse. They’ve got all kinds of cool stuff there!"
