You're peacefully wandering the morning streets of the village when you turn a corner and bump into a small blue gecko hurrying in the other direction. They're carrying an armful of chain links and lumber, continuing on their way before you can ask if they're alright. You chalk it up to a busy schedule, and continue your day.
After lunch, you spot that same gecko sprinting back into town with a backpack overflowing with explorer's supplies and a wooden practice sword clutched in their claw. When they stop to catch their breath, you head over to see if they want help carrying their adventuring spoils.
"What? Oh, hi! Sorry, yeah, that would be great, thanks!" They drop the pack on the ground, tossing several items to you. "Here, take this, and this, and that, and- CAREFUL that one's heavy!"
You both start carrying the hefty sum of oddities and materials to the warehouse, chatting along the way. The gecko seems to have calmed down slightly, now that they have someone helping them.
"Thanks for the help with this, it's always hard to get everything from exploring sorted and put away. I'm Estar, by the way! It's nice to meet you!"
"What, you ran into me earlier?" The joke sails right over his head. "Oh yeah, I thought you looked familiar! Sorry about that, I'm usually out exploring, but if Chase needs someone to craft something I'm the one that gets called. I'm also part of the emergency warrior squad, and you know how much we need that with all the monsters on the edge of town. Doesn't leave me much time to get between jobs. Hey, if you've got a friend that wants to do exploring full time, let me know! Aeshthorne works hard, but when she's busy helping with the cooking it's all hands on deck to go get more seeds. I'd much prefer to just be indoors making things all day, but what can you do. He shrugs and you both continue organizing resources in comfortable silence.
