Asena is Yuri's mother and alpha female wolf in the wolf clan of Iron Wood. She is the other elemental wolf other than her only son Yuri. As the Wolf clan leader of Iron Wood and the only alpha, she has to work with the other eight clans. She guides her clan around the mountain ranges of Iron Wood with a firm but gentle paw and helps the other clans when needed.
