Villager: Zale

Zale is working on something, humming merrily to himself. As you call out, he yelps, and narrowly avoids smashing his paw underneath his hammer.

"Holy-!! Okay, o-okay, I'm good. Um, hello there. Was there a reason why you interrupted me just now?"

"Oh, you're getting to know everyone, are you? Well, my name is Zale, and as you can see, I'm the village craftsman. If there's something you need made, I can probably do it for you."

"Not that I'm taking requests or anything! I've got my paws full with orders from the shop after all. You know, Ouroboros Costume Shop? Down in the Forums? We’re a mail-order business, you see."

"Anyway, my best friend and I work day and night to get these done. Well okay, day and night might be exaggerating a little bit but you get the point. We work our tails off, all of us."

"Oh, Hope? Yeah. She’s my little glishy. She’s nice and sweet, and loves meeting new people. Go on, give her a pat. She’ll probably never leave you alone now."

"You want to know why I decided to be a craftsman of all things? I'm glad to you asked! I love making things - magical things, metal things, stony things, anything! Sora, Brenna, and I have been working on mechanical toys recently, those are fun to make! A pain in the rear to get the materials for, but really fun!"

Zale turns his head to take a look at the graffitied panting hanging in pride of place in his workshop, before sniggering.

"Ah, you won't tell the royal fox I have this, right? I mean, it's just too dang funny and surely he wouldn't mind Aisling taking it? I mean, it IS ruined after all. At least to him, it's certainly not ruined to me hahaha."

"You want to know what my hobbies are? Well, I'd say my entire job is a hobby, but if you want something else...I like collecting stickers! Plain ones, magic ones, I like ‘em all! They’re in my nice little sticker album here, where they’re all nice and safe. Oh oh, and swimming, I can’t forget about swimming! Genesis and I go with Lyra all the time, it's super fun. Just don’t get hit by a boat. It sucks. And I’m speaking from personal experience here."

"Lyra? Oh, she’s my beautiful daughter - Genesis’s and mine, actually. She’s the most beautiful little princess in the entire seven seas! My darling wife and I are lucky to have her."

"How we met? Well, I was born right here in Oceandome, but I did go to live in Quetzal Palace for a while. That’s how Genesis and I met, before the two of us moved to join the - at the time - new village of Ouroboros, and never regretted it since. Anyway, speaking of swimming, I've been working for several hours straight. I'm gonna go see if my family and anyone else wants to go for a swim right now..."

At this point Zale ushers you out of his workshop, closing the door behind him.

"Well, it was great meeting you. Bye now - hopefully I’ll see you around!"
