Villager: Faolan

As you make your way through the village, a rabbit comes outside of the nearest house, a falcon perched on her shoulder and a fairy fluttering next to her. She looks surprised to see you. What makes this villager stand out in particular is the lion warrior outfit she is wearing - and the lion spirit by her side.

"Oh, hello. Are you new here, or just visiting? You're welcome here either way."

"My name? I'm Faolan, pleased to meet you. "

"Awesome co- this isn’t a costume! I am one of the Spirit Lion Warriors of the Clawtooth tribe, and just because I'm liv-!"

"…Ohhhh. Yeah, apology accepted. I know our Master of Quill has given out the pattern to many foreign tailors, so in hindsight, it's an honest mistake to make, even with the lion within me. I know there are a rare few not of Clawtooth who have also embraced the spirit of the lion. Sorry for jumping down your throat like that."

"Yes, I'm from the land of Clawtooth, and one of the Clawtooth tribe. While we take refuge in your lands, I chose to come to Aisling’s village in Oceandome. After all the help she’s given Sage Ismene, it was only right to try and repay her as best I can. I understand that many of my tribesmen have done the same with other foreigners that have helped our people. And living here in Ouroboros has taught me a lot about the ways of these villages beyond the sea. I would have never thought I'd see a villager made of clouds, or the dead walking among the living, but here we are."

"My- oh, you want to know my friends’ names? The falcon’s named Dakota, he's a great help on the battlefield, as well as any other wild animals who decide to come to my aid. Pros of being one with a spirit of the wild, you see. And of course, the fairy here is Sanuye, and she's been with me since I was small. I fancied myself a warrior then, and went out into the wilds with nothing but a knife in paw in search of adventure. I was lucky to find a friend instead of a foe; at that age I would've been a monster snack had I come across one! We've been friends ever since, and made the journey across the sea together with Chief Clawtooth and the rest of my people."

"And no, I did not name her after my neighbor Sanuye. They had their names long before we met. Besides, two people sharing a name encountering each other isn’t an uncommon occurrence, as you well know."

"My hobbies? Well, I love reading, and racing - Camellia, Polaris, and I have lots of fun competing against each other. So if you see the three of us barreling across the island, that's why. Don’t worry, we won't knock you over. Trust me, after the earful Camellia and I got when we accidentally bowled over Ely, the two of us are a lot more careful. Yes, two, this was before Polaris moved here. It took weeks for Ely, Camellia, and I to get all the dyes out of our fur, and I was stuck as a mouse until Ely could get the supplies to turn me back! I suppose that's what we get for crashing into the Ouroboros equivalent of our Master of Conjury when she's carrying bottles and vials of who knows what.”

"What, Itachi? Ughhh. While he's fun to race with it's not fun when he trips you in the middle of a run! That crap hurts!"

"Oh, he's a kama-itachi, tripping people is what they do. And I know that but it still doesn't make it any less annoying dangit! Or painful. But don't worry, I chase him down and repay him in kind. Don't tell him this, but its actually kind of fun."

"Ah, sorry about that. Was that all you needed, or are you lost? I can point you in the direction of where you need to go if you are."

"No? Well that's good. Now if you'll excuse me, I’m due to sail to the mainland battlegrounds. It was nice meeting you, maybe we can race sometime."
