Species Designation #16CEF5751CFF: Vuxlate

Vuxlate are subterranean creatures, hailing from some distant planet and some distant time. Their appearance can be best described as a combination of crocodilian and feline features, which is most apparent in their extremities.

The term "Vuxlate" is borrowed from the Thelnian race, who initially had first contact with this enigmatic species. According to the Thelnian xenobiologists who named the species, "Vuxlate" can be approximated into English as "Digging Claws". Vuxlate, however, refer to themselves as the Krulsundi, save for a subspecies identified as the Pau'Gerra. Compared to the mainland Vuxlate, the arctic island-dwelling Pau'Gerra are larger, stronger, and have distinctive manes that swoop backwards before curling forwards.

They are classified as a cryptoreproductive species, meaning that the means by which they reproduce are not known. All Vuxlate that have been captured are identified as genderless, leading to speculation that the species relies on parthenogenetic methods or that observed Vuxlate are merely part of a eusocial colony in which reproductive individuals do not leave Krulsundi settlements.

Shikai'e has a personality as mysterious as its origin. Despite being a wanderer at heart, there always seems to be a location that it returns to. It speaks in an aloof and formal manner, if it can be coaxed into speaking at all. Shikai'e associates with very few individuals outside of its own species, most notably General Uintah and his subordinate, First Lieutenant Lietzchi. Even more mysterious than Shikai'e's personality is its interest in the development of the V-3 Project, headed by none other than Uintah. Most notably, Shikai'e aided Uintah in securing the assistance and funding needed to develop the technology to access FurVilla.

9/21/23: #235176016-135236 exited Circini Prime to investigate a building referred to by locals as "Queen's Potion Pot" following several anonymous reports of anomalous events. Similarity to the Serpent's Pot was noted and a similar mechanism is believed to be at work. The General has decided that no action needs to be taken.
