Villager: Sir Milo

In a wooded clearing just off Tienyo’s pasture, you see a Saggitari dancing. His movements are sure and graceful, and you can’t help but watch until the end of his routine. After a moment, he notices you, and stops to come introduce himself.

"Hello. My name is Sir Milo, of the Dawn Brigade. And you?"

"You want to know why I’m “sir” Milo, and what the Dawn Brigade is? Well, back in my homeland, the Dawn Brigade is a small army of warriors who’s job is to protect our home from monsters that lurk in the seas and in the skies."

"I’m not surprised you’ve never heard of it. Camellia and I come from a land farther north of Tiger Eye Peak, on a great glacier known as the Prismatic Glacier. Creative name, I know, I know. Anyway, carved out into the ice and rock were our various towns and villages. And my job was to protect them all, with my comrades by my side."

"Camellia? Yes, she’s my older sister, and has quite the knack for growing things. And I’m not at all surprised that her bounties have skyrocketed, not in a place so supportive of all manner of plant life."

"Why don’t we look alike? Well, we’re half siblings, technically, but we grew up together under the care of our mother. And half or not, we are still siblings."

"My Father?"

Sir Milo spits out the word “father” as though its a vile curse, before scowling thunderously at the words.

"I do not speak of my father. That is all you need to know."

"Did I- did I abandon my comrades?! Forsake and desert them?! Never!! How dare you even suggest otherwise?!"

The Saggitari is beyond pissed. You quickly apologize, explaining that you meant no harm and are just wondering how and why he’s here.

"...Hmpf. Very well, I accept your apology. One never stops being a member of the Dawn Brigade. Not through sickness, retirement, injury, or death. We are comrades now and forevermore. I may be living in the far, far south with my sister now, but that doesn’t change a thing."

"Why do I dance? Why does Faolan race, or my sister garden? Because they enjoy it. It is the same with me. When I dance, I become one with the earth and sky. Though if you are looking for a treat, you should see Indigo perform. She has mastered the art of turning dancing into an actual battle style. She's even been teaching me. I'm nowhere near a master, but I've also only been training a few months. I'll get there, in time."

Here the Saggitari’s mouth quirks into a smile, and he extends his hand toward you.

"Care to dance with me? It matters not if you do not know how; I will lead you through it. Allow me to give you this gift, and a memory to take home with you."
