About
The Avenged
(Picture)
But I think there’s a god and he hears either way
When I rejoice
And complain
Lift my voice
That I was made
And somebody’s listening at night
With the ghosts of my friends when I pray
Asking ‘Why did you let them leave and then make me stay?’
Know my name
And all of my hideous mistakes

A half burned up hymnal
High necked dresses
Thick gardening gloves
Turpentine
Oil paints
Ankle boots with muddy spats
Callused paw pads
Sharp teeth
A silver charm of some forgotten religion looped onto a leather cord
A collection of delicate porcelain dolls
Faith is a study in lost faith, in betrayed trusts, in survival against all odds. Raised by a cruel woman in what amounts to a cult, torn and chewed up, her scars are many and yet she retains a cold steel beauty that remains untouchable. Her smiles are rare and her laughter almost non-exsistant. Two people alone are able to produce it with any regularity, her brother in law and his sister (who she loves more than anything else.) Not even her own brother can get her to laugh, not that Willem tries overly much, he’s dour enough himself.
Artistic with an almost victorian aesthetic to her demeanor and clothing, Faith looks delicate but this is a practiced lie, her strength is as thick as rebar and she defends her family and their home with the fierceness of any well trained guard dog.
Always wearing one of her niece Adora’s flower crowns, she is otherwise plainly dressed. Often seen carrying a basket of baked goods, painted shells, or flowers - she helps supplement the household’s income by selling her goods at the market in Olde Foxbury.
Classically trained in oil painting but very rarely producing works, she usually just sells small tourist fare - such as the aforementioned painted shells - to people who are looking for mementos of their trips.
Every so often she produces a large amount of soap to sell as well as jerky, but this is sporadic and there is no guarantee she will be offering these goods on any given day.
