Steven is adventurous and curious, but he's not too bright. He gets lost often and is easily confused. Steven gets very upset when others shy away from him because of his ferocious looks (that do not match his lovable personality. ) He looks up to Abella as a good friend and mentor., having met her on accident when he wondered from his post into the field of flowers. Abella, being her bubbly self, quickly made friends with the raptor. He does not know Shiva very well, and their relationship is rocky due to him accidentally ruining some of her plants one day (he's a bit too big to wonder around in the garden).
Steven found his little friend, Alex one day on accident. He had gotten lost (no surprise) while on duty and stumbled upon a little baby crying out, like it had lost it's family. This struck a cord in Steven and he tried as hard as he could, and never found his family. He even nursed the little boy back to health when he found that neither of them wanted to split up, so Steven has kept Alex as a companion. Alex get's along very well with Teeny and Anna, surprisingly. They were both around him when Alex was nursed back to health so they also grew attached, probably the only time they could be together without Teeny yapping at Anna.
