Chillwave Cinema, known as // Matixx // for short, is a Scarfox with dusky colored fur that resembles the night sky and the setting sun. He's most fond of the 80s era, especially the music, movies, and video games. He has a soft spot for 8-bit graphics, cola beverages in glass bottles, and pez candies and dispensers. His favorite movies are the Back to the Future trilogy and the Terminator series. His aesthetics include vaporwave, chillwave, 8-bit, neon, and anything retro.
Matixx goes at his own pace and doesn't really worry about much. He's very relaxed and friendly and isn't afraid to lend a helping hand to anyone that needs it, though he does tend to put on airs and act like a tough guy every so often. He tries to pull off the "cool kid who leans against the wall smoking" vibe but in all honesty, he's just a huge dork. Among his possessions are an original Nintendo console, a Super Nintendo, an extensive library of games for both, a virtual reality set, and an old chunky computer that reads floppy disks. His most prized possessions are a scale model of a hoverboard from Back to the Future, and a replica of the Terminator endoskeleton which he loves very dearly.
He collects Pez dispensers, which he proudly displays on shelves in his room, along with other memorabilia from his favorite movies and bands. There are numerous dispensers that he's still missing, but he takes up the odd job here and there to make cash, and is slowly saving up to buy them if he can find a seller. He also prefers to drink his soda out of glass bottles, as he says he dislikes the metallic taste that you get from the canned soda. He also finds the glass bottles collectible and has a number of them on display as well. Matixx owns various jackets and scarves, Venetian blind sunglasses, and even some leg warmers though he doesn't wear them very often.
His likes include Coca-Cola, Pepsi-Cola, 50s-styled Diners that serve milkshakes and cheeseburgers, Pez candies, and vinyl records. He gets scolded a lot by his friends because of his unhealthy food and drink preferences, but he says he'll worry about the bad things when they happen. Until then, he will enjoy himself. He's afraid of being submerged in water due to the screens in his hands being functional and tries to avoid water if at all possible. However, if coerced into going to the beach, he might wade into the shallow waters just off of the shore but usually just complains about how cold the water is and goes back to dry land.
While the screens on his hands often display the "off air" color bars and occasional glitching graphic, sometimes they can flip to various video clips, and Matixx can also use them to display images matching his current mood to emphasize his feelings.
He has a bed in his room, but rarely ever sleeps in it. Usually, you can find him asleep on his floor, leaning against his beanbag chair with a game controller in hand or VR goggles still over his eyes.
