Personality: Always smiling, though a tad bit shy. Doesn't care what other people think, but cares about how other feel deeply.

Story: Silent Melody, a unicorn with a cutie mark of a book featuring a music note on it, has always loved singing songs and writing stories. Yet, when she got her cutie mark, she was a tad bit discouraged and lost for a time, thinking she was destined to teach music to the choir ponies (which ended up in disaster for the poor village fillies and foals). As she grew though, she discovered the magic she possessed of turning her stories into songs! She now lives happily in her quiet little village, bringing joy to the other ponies and various travelers by sharing her books and songs with others. Her best friend is Little Sunshine, who helps her get the courage to go meet new people and get out on the stage. She and Sunshine hope to one day write a duet that will spread all over Equestria! But for now, they are content to bring happiness to their friends here at home, who matter the most to them, anyway.
