Talis is a very warm and energetic fox, though he can be a bit of a workaholic at times. He is extremely chivalrous and kind, and will go out of his way to help another, no matter the circumstance. He trains diligently to be the best warrior possible, spending at least an hour every day mastering the ways of sword fighting and other skills. He is a brave soul and stubborn to a fault, and will never betray or turn his back on those he feels the need to protect. He would never back down from a challenge, which has gotten him into trouble in the past. His grandfather was a well-known warrior and town hero that would always tell him stories of his great battles and experiences. Talis started his training when he was just a young kit, wanting to live up to his grandfather’s glory. He was a prodigy of his time, the best in all his classes and easily defeating those many years his senior.

Though he is already a great fighter, having won countless battles and has even been given several medals, he always is in the mindset that he can be even better, that there will always be someone stronger than you. His personal motto is “You will never find your true potential if you stop once you think you are good enough, for others will always race past you when you stop trying.” He has vast loyalty for his friends and loved ones, and would give his life without a second thought in order to keep them safe. However, this is also his fatal flaw, as he is willing to give dangerously important things to stop those close to him from being hurt.


“Tell me a story, grandpa! A story! A story!”

Talis’ grandpa was one of the town’s most well-known warriors. He told the best stories. He’d tell him about all of his feats, big and small. There was that time when he rescued a baby birb that fell from its nest and that other time when he saved the town from a dragon and another time when... There were so many stories and Talis wanted to hear them all. He loved them.

“When I grow up, I’m gonna be a great hero like you grandpa!”

That day, Talis started training to be a warrior. It was hard holding a sword for the first time. It was big and it was heavy. Talis’ grandpa saw his efforts and his dedication. This boy really wanted to become a warrior. So, he decided to take him under his wing and train Talis himself. The first step was getting a sword that was the right size for Talis. Talis was taught everything his grandpa knew and he practiced his skills everyday. Even without all the extra training, Talis had a natural talent for wielding a sword. He was a prodigy.

A few years later, his skills were noticed by the commander and was drafted into the army. He became the youngest villager to ever join the army and surprised everyone with his skills. Talis quickly climbed the ranks; he fought and won countless battles and earned many medals.

Alas, the glory could not last forever. In his last battle, he suffered a fatal injury that prevented him from fighting any longer. He had to quit, or at least, take a long break. Over time, his injury was nursed back to health, but it wouldn’t ever be the same as before. Talis could fight again, but not as well as he used to. He’s taken a leave from the army, forever known as a great warrior, to find new techniques and learn how to fight again.
