-Too bad he's a loner and doesn't go out of his way to teach people.
-Gets angry when people don't listen to him and has no patience for stupidity. You can bribe him into trying to talk with people and explain things in an easy-to-understand way, and it usually works. -Spends most of his time fishing and reading. He has a houseboat set up a few miles away from the settlement in the icy ocean, it's a few hours trek made quicker by a riding animal, but it's still out of the way.

-Accidentally caught his beluga in a net, after that experience he started using a weaker net to avoid by-catch. She hasn't stopped following him around since, probably because he feeds her fish and keeps her clean of parasites. And sings to her.
