Villager: Jingle

A small creature of unknown origin. From the top of its head to the bottoms of its little feet, excluding its horns, it measures 20 cm in height. Despite the white marking on its face, it has a round, fluffy head with no mouth, nose, or snout. It seems docile, friendly even, but if picked up or held it may either go limp and still like a plush toy, or sit quivering in one's palms with its face shyly turned downward. If you gain its trust, it might sit on your shoulder or perch on your head.

It's known as "Jingle" because of the soft chimes and jingles from the bells on its patched cloak and hat when it moves around, and though it's typically silent, it does occasionally coo, purr, or chitter when it's in an elevated mood. Thanks to its small size, it can run quickly and squeeze into small spaces, but it's known to be clumsy too. It's resilient though, and gets back up quickly after taking a tumble.

Jingle tends to be most active at night and enjoys wandering through breezy fields under the stars, spending time among the fireflies, but it can rarely be seen throughout the daytime as well. It also seems fond of various plants and fungi, and likes to collect glowshrooms.
