as a child my grandfather told me of a hidden world of beasts. a place where animals walked and spoke as humans did, and lived their lives as humans would.

he said if i should ever find this place in my travels, that i say hello to Juniper for him

my mother assured me it was all just a fairy tale

looking into her grandfather's study, she noticed a small box upon his desk.
she looked inside and found a handwritten recipe, a locket, and, a pile of fur.

the ingredients were fairly easy to find, they could be gathered in the garden or found in a nearby forest. the fur in the box made sense as she saw the final step was to add a lock of her hair and a lock of fur from a beast. when she was done, she seemed to have made an elixir, but for what she did not know.

opening the locket she saw a picture of her grandfather, and a small note, instructing her to wander into the heart of the forest, and drink the elixir.

night was falling, so she bundled up, and set forth into the forest again.
trusting her grandfather's note, she drank the elixir, and watched the world fade to black

when she awoke, she found herself in the world of beasts, but even stranger, she noticed roselyn herself was also a beast, with paws and ears.

she ran off to find juniper.

beasts have always valued curiosity
so when this girl wandered into their world, looking like a beast but smelling....off, they did not hesitate to welcome her into their world, as her eyes twinkled with excitement and they knew her intentions were pure.

she never worried that she was different while in their world.
