A mutant bee created as part of a project to combat a large swarm of deadly locusts that had been ravaging the region and destroying various ecosystems.
It is unknown why Viridian appears to have mammalian ears, as they don't function as ears should. It's suspected that the test tube he was created in wasn't properly sealed and someone's fur got mixed into his tube. Though, he doesn't seem too bothered by the ears, and finds them to be quite cute as a matter of fact.
While Viridian's specialty may be battling giant, deadly locusts, he actually prefers to go on adventures. Viridian was raised only knowing battles and his mutated siblings, so he takes any chance he has to go out and see the world.
