Arphaxad is a Shadow Animal, though unlike their species, they are shown to be serious, distant, and focused. They don't consider anybody their friend and hardly cares about anyone strongly enough to make enemies - therefore having a neutral relation with everyone else, whether positive and negative. They tend to have a short-temper at times, especially when people are distracting them from their work. They also seem to only focus on one thing at a time and can get aggravated if people try to pile things on them at once.
They are one of the village's doctors and former apprentice of Empyrean - whom they share a positive relation with, and even shows some respect towards their leader. They are shown to be very focused on work and, despite seeming like a horrible choice for a Doctor, they definitely know what they are doing.

Shadow Animal
A Shadow Animal is along the lines of a Spirit Animal, though are the opposite. They have a habit of leading people down the wrong path and are quite the tricksters. Being mischievous, they loves to play pranks of people and enjoy leaving others confused and more lost than before. Many are advised to avoid these creates if possible. It is a secret known by only those who study the species that if you ignore them and refuse to interact, they cannot mess with you nor bring you any harm. But once you knowledge their presence, you may as well allow them to do as they please.
Some even connect with their Shadow Animal. This with surprisingly bring balance to said person and both people and Shadow becomes stronger, but in return those around them will be put through a certain level of chaos. It also tends to corrupt the person, making them crave chaos and missive as well. Though there are extremely rare cases where the person is not corrupted due to their mental strength, though this can become very dangerous....
Shadow Animals look exactly like how they sound: animals made completely of shadow. They can take the shape of any animal, though they will also be any color ranging from silver to black - and can even by multi-colored as long as the colors are within that range. They can choose their physical form when they come into existence, but once they chose they cannot change their physical form.
Since they are made of shadows, it means that they can disappear into darkness, hide among other shadows, and can even move through solid objects. Given that they are made of shadows, light is their weakness. If in direct contact with light, they can be dispersed and forced away for some time to recover. The only time they can physically interact with others and objects are when they are in their physical form.
