Villager: Eirene

On June 9, 2017, My grandmother called me in a panic and told me that she was on the way home and had a baby deer in her car; she needed my help. Since we live next door to eachother, I hurried over to wait for her to arrive. When she pulled into her driveway she told me that she had seen the baby get hit twice on the highway and had run out into traffic to save it, as it was still alive. The baby was no bigger that a small dog and still had it's spots. Its leg was bent in the wrong direction and there was blood all over the car seat.
We helped the baby out of the car and brought it some water and a blanket to rest on while we tried to find someone that would help it.
Our local animal hospital was not allowed to help the baby by law (since it was a wild animal) and DNR was also not able to take action.
Eventually we managed to find a wildlife reserve that would take it in and help it.
I was not able to go with them to drop her off as I had had a panic attack once I had actually seen its leg and heard it crying in pain after its hoof had gotten stuck under the porch.
As of right now we have no news, but the last I heard she was doing well and they were planning to amputate her leg as it was broken beyond repair. She is 4 months old and female, and as of right now she is safe with the people at the reserve.
(6/13/17 update; she did end up passing, but at least she died peacefully and didn't have to suffer)

I called her Eirene (the greek goddess of peace, since she died peacefully) and while trying to comfort me my friends jokingly said that now she could have a kickass robot leg
Thus, this paintie was born
