About

BestFriend129
----------------------
You were asleep. Dreaming. Sort of.
It was pitch black. Until something started to come into vision. It was just a blur at first. Until it became a cinnamon raccoon. It glided towards you, and stopped a foot from your face. It had a wide grin. Its eyes had tears spilling rapidly out of them. But it had no eyes. There was just empty black. It spoke. "H hello. y you a are my.. Best Friend." You tried to speak. But it pressed its soft paw against your mouth. But you did anyway. "Who are you? What are you? Where are you?" The creature's smile widened. "I am Best Friend. I am not what i appear to be. I am lost." The raccoon stared with its hollow eyes. "Be my Best Friend? Yes or No" You look into its empty eye sockets, its wide grin. "No. No, i already have a best friend." The raccoon starts to fade. "Ok..." And you wake up.

You go on your favorite chat site. You pull up a new message box, from someone named BestFriend129. You looked at their profile picture, A cinnamon raccoon with a large smile and empty eyes. You calmed down before reading their message.
BestFriend129: Its okay, I have that nightmare too.
_FreddyBear_: Really? (just roll with the nickname)
BestFriend129: Ive been having them for 15 years.
_FreddyBear_: But, your profile says you're only 15..
BestFriend129: BestFriend has their ways..
_FreddyBear_: Wait, how do you know I had the dream?
BestFriend129: BestFriend has their ways
_FreddyBear_: So, whats your backstory? Theres nothing on your page.
BestFriend129: Are you sure you're ready to know the truth?

It was a strange interaction you had with BestFriend129. After asking about their backstory, they signed off. You sat in awe at your computer for a few minutes, before playing multiplayer games with your friends online. You grew tired quickly, feeling that night had come too soon.

Another dream. You were in a forest. Moonlight lit your path, and the trees whispered quietly. There was a sharp realization, you were no longer an adult, but a young boy. The memories of a child started flooding back to you. You were seven. A cinnamon raccoon. A rambunctious boy who loved to play in the woods with his friends. But you couldn’t remember a family, or a name. Memories were still flooding in, but of your friends. A kitten named Abby, a wolf pup named Cody, and a ferret kit named Sheldon. You kept hunting through your thoughts, slowly noticing a presence behind you. Turning around, they stood there. Frosty white, dark grey, and brown. Your friends had arrived. “Hello, best friend! Let’s go play!” Abby called. “Should we really be out here after dark? It’s dangerous.” Sheldon whimpered, his sleek brown tail snagging on some shrubs. “I-I think it’s fine.” You muttered against your own will. ‘No,no. Go home, kids. I don’t trust this.’ You silently willed for the children to leave. After a while of exploring, midnight came around. “Uhh, which way is home again?” Cody whispered. “I kinda want to go home.” The wolf boy searched around, not knowing their way back. “Maybe if we wait here, in the morning we’ll be able to find our way back?” Abby suggested. Sheldon whined. “But what if we don’t? What if we die here?” He whined more. You felt tears start to pour out of your eyes. “Don’t say that! My mommy loves me more than anybody in the world, and she’ll send out a search party for us.” Abby exclaimed. A small sound could be heard. The rustling of leaves. “See? I told you my-“ You felt your paw rise to her mouth. Something wasn’t right. Sheldon held your other paw, along with Cody’s. The rustling sound got louder, a shadowy figure sliding out of the woods into the small, child infested clearing. “I’ve had my eye on you kids.” The figure had no discernible species. It almost seemed.. human. ‘Run. Run. Run. Please just run.’ As if hearing your words, the raccoon boy screamed. “R-RUN!” Abby immediately obeyed, Cody running only after picking up his smaller ferret friend. You, however, were glued to the spot. The creature grew nearer. Everything went black. And you heard a scream. A scream coming from a young boy. Age 7. Cinnamon raccoon. Unnamed. Orphaned very young. Best friend of Abigail, Cody, and Sheldon. Who can only ever play all together again in dreams. Out of the darkness came best friend. Tears streaming down. His paw was clenched against his chest, and you were yourself again. He whispered slowly.. “I-I am Best Friend. I a-am still alive. I-I can see you. I.. am.. alone..” the pained frown twisted into a dark, terrifying smile. “Let’s play again some time.” He laughed, and faded into nothing.
