About
The third of seven children, in order: Felicity, Honour, Gay, Credence, Mercy, Chastity, and Justice. She's frequently thought of going by her middle name, but 'Prudence' doesn't fit well on legal forms. Her most often used phrase is "That's my name, don't wear it out."
Gay's family moved around a lot while she was growing up, so she's developed a love of travel. Despite that, she'd like a place to call home for more than three years. She moved to Olde Foxbury for some distance from her family and because it seemed like a nice place to figure out what she was going to do with the rest of her life.
Likes: Travel, banana cream pie, and the colour blue
Dislikes: Jokes about her name, ignorance, and peaches

Broke down and let Credence move in. I think he almost cried. Heck, he might have cried when he thought no one was looking! Really, he's such a boy about things like that. Anyway, I can hear him settling into the spare bedroom now and I can't be upset. I won't lie, I've missed everyone back home. Having some family here will be good for me.
It will be especially good when he gets a part time job and can help with food and such.
It's been weeks, but I still feel like I'm recovering from Snow Festival. Not that it wasn't fun - it was. Having Honour and Credence over was better than I could have imagined and it was so much fun introducing them and showing them around! I confess, though, I'm a bit worried about Cred. He's showing more stress than I realized. I'm actually considering asking if he wants to move in here and do some correspondence courses or something for school. Fewer siblings in the house would probably do him good.
...not to mention that watching him silently crush on Doctor Barrow and Nikita from a distance was adorable. Big sister moment.
Despite my concerns about the weather, Honour and Credence are coming to visit for a few days. Apparently Cred and Justice are driving Ma and Dad crazy, so Honour has been charged with getting little brother out of the house. Really, though, Credence should be out of the house anyway. He's only a year younger than I am and needs his space even worse than I did. Pity houses are so scarce in that area.
I called Honour and talked to her a bit. Apparently Snow Festival here is nothing like it is back home this year! It makes me want to go visit, but I just got here. Honour suggested that the family come out here to visit, but I wouldn't want them traveling in this weather. Also, I'm not sure Old Foxbury is ready to have my entire clan descend on them. Last, but not least, I don't want Ma, Dad, and Credence commenting on my house keeping.
....on the other hand, maybe I could introduce Credence to Doctor Barrow. He'd be less in my hair if he were distracted.
Snow Festival is here. I'm not sure if I'm going to decorate this year or not. Back home we'd all chip in with the decorating. With seven pairs of hands working, it always went super fast, even if we did stop to squabble about what went where. Here, meh. I don't know. It just doesn't seem quite as fun by myself.
Got presents from the sibs today. Felicity got me a nice set of knives; Honour sent along a china set; Mercy bought me a hat that I'll probably never wear, but it was a nice thought; Chastity and Justice apparently went in on a dresser for me, which has to have been her idea because he's not the sort of teenage pup to think of that. Credence got me paperwork to have my name legally changed. I'd be more excited, but he had it pre-filled out and I don't think "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" will fit on most legal forms.
He is such a punk.
Ah, is there anything better than new house smell? On the flip side, is there anything worse than introducing yourself to new neighbors? Needless to say, today was mostly a lack luster routine of introducing myself and getting everything from "Isn't that kinda personal?" to "Well, I guess I'm not your type!" Seriously, my next letter home I'm going to remind Chastity how good she has it.
The one surprise was the badger who lives down the way. Her response to "I'm Gay" was "Oh, that's one of my favorite names! Welcome to Olde Foxbury." I seriously think I might have taken a nap and dreamed that part.
