About

The local reclusive book worm, most of Arashi's neighbors could easily forget she exists most of the time. In fact, some of them do. She's amazingly okay with this. The ones who know her best are the ones that she buys things from.

While possessed of a dry sense of humor, she tried to be easy to get along with when she does socialize, and have a realistically up beat attitude toward life. She doesn't always succeed, but she tries. Possibly her biggest downfall is that she can be a horribly elitist book snob.

Likes: Steampunk, the Phantom of the Opera, and custard

Dislikes: Intolerance, children, and the colour pink

    • I've been getting so many animals since the festival! With the snow starting to die down, inter-town animal trade is really picking up. I'm going to have to see if I can pry Harls away from her smithing long enough to build me a few more stables.

In the meantime, I've been giving some of my home bred animals to my neighbors. I didn't really mean to do that, when I got into animal husbandry. I just like animals and thought it might be a good career, you know? But some of them just seem to really fit with this or that furry. I haven't come up with any ideas for Gladys, though, and I feel like I should. I think retirement's starting to bore her just a little...not that she'll admit it.

    • Sybil may be my favorite animal ever, and that's saying something given my growing collection! The more she gets settled in, though, the better Syb is. She's playful and clever and sometimes even brings me things! Of course, then I get to figure out where she got them and take them back, but it's still cute.

    • My ferret is officially named Sybil. I don't know why, it just kind of stuck. I've also been picking up a few other animals. Bred the unicorns and wuffs today and managed to catch my first fairy! Still need to domesticate him, though. Little booger about bit my claw off.

    • So it turns out the draw of the Snow Festival is stronger than the aversion to cold and black ice. I ventured out for a bit today, just a bit, but it was worth it. I came back with a new pet ferret! She's a demanding little attention hog, but I already adore her. Now I just need to come up with a name.

    • And the snow is back, with reinforcements. I'm definitely spending the Snow Festival indoors. I can enjoy the beautiful white from the comfort of my home, thank you.

    • I finally convinced Harls to try her paw at a stable. I'm not ready to start breeding yet, but when I am, I want plenty of room for the new arrivals! It's not the prettiest stable in the world, but it will do.

Then she suggested that I get a durability potion from Juri and I got to spend the next I-don't-kn0w-how-long trying to explain non-bianary and genderflux to her. I did not miss my calling as a gender studies professor.

    • I've been feeling almost back to normal. A little bit stiff in places, but good enough to take care of the animals at least. I'm glad I wasn't breeding any of them when I took my tumble. Still, I'm definitely thinking about staying inside for the rest of the winter, or at least until the threat of snow is gone. Maybe I'll take up crafting.

    • Went to the doctor's to get patched up after the ice incident. Much better now, but Doctor Barrow seems really cranky. I suspect he needs a vacation...or maybe a boyfriend. Or both.

    • I am not in love with winter. Don't get me wrong, playing in the snow is fun, cocoa and fire places are nice, and it's a great time to hang out with friends. But then there's the black ice...
