I swear, all I've been able to taste for the past week is soothing lotion. It is not the best taste. Of course, I complained to Dustin and he freaked out because it's a topical treatment. Sometimes sensing the world through your taste buds is the worst.
Seed imports are expensive! Fortunately both Doctor Barrow and Juri had been interested in working with foreign plants lately, so I've been able to afford some, but wow. I feel like it might be more cost effective for them to just buy the grown plants! Hope they don't figure that out for awhile...
Of course, Juri in particular has been blowing through the unusual pineapples lately, so I don't need to fear for my job at least...
It probably shouldn't be surprising that seeds from Tiger Eye Peak grow rather well in this weather. Of course, they have their own quirks, but I had a pretty good turn out from my last set of imports. Didn't do quite as well with the ones from Oceandome, although they weren't entirely a bust. I think they might have been a bit old...or possibly gotten too cold. I think I'll wait until weather warms up to try more of those.
I think I've mastered just about all of the local fauna. Only green stalks are still giving me trouble. I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong! Still, now that I'm confident I can keep Doctor Barrow in good supply, I can start looking at more exotic growing fare. I wonder what sorts of things Juri could use? I'll have to ask it....maybe in spring.
Right then! Moving into the green house, at least until I can get someone to knit me a cozy snake sweater. Shouldn't be too hard, right? Just a tube?
If I get any more pots from Harls, I might have to build a second green house! This is not an upsetting prospect, especially since the medics are still buying up everything I can sprout. Still, I'd like to get back to work on buying some samples for my own study again.
Got some green stalk to grow! I have the worst time with that stuff, but this time I only lost one plant. Man I love my green house. Not only keeps me in business, but it's perfect for the winter cold too. Mmmmm, heat lamps.
Well, it looks like seed imports are going to be on hold for a bit. Doctor Barrow was past earlier and it seems like there's a case of plague going through the town, so! Ploofballs it is! Picked up some more pots from Harls. Girl's getting good at these!
