My newest reason to love wings is monsters. Yup, that's right! Monsters! They're all over the place lately, but I can fly right over 'em! Except the common flockeds, of course, but those knuckle heads are easy to outfly. Haha, my shinies, suckers!
You know, I love Dustin. He's a great exploring buddy, but he can be such a downer! Lately, though, I kinda have to agree with him. All of this rain! Super hard to explore with soaking feathers. I'm an owl, not a duck! Still, the furries with gardens have to be loving it, so there's a bright side, right?
Whoo boy. I woke up feeling royally sick this morning. I mean, not plague sick, but pretty darn royally sick! Took me half the day to even get up the gumption to go see ol' sour puss - I mean "Doctor Barrow". Good news is that he had some medicine! The bad news is that he also had a rabbit bleeding all over the place and I passed Dustin going out as I went in, so it was a busy day.

Was I saying something about melting snow? My bad! It came back and brought it's big brothers and sisters and third cousins twice removed! Exploring can wait for a day - I'm going to make a snow owl and a snow ferret and a snow cat and a snow fox and oh heck, why not? A snow snake!
The snow is melting! This is bad news on the snowball front, but great news on the exploring one! I'm finding so many shiny things. I don't know how many of them are worth anything, but I'mma clean them up and find out!
I learned three important things today: Gay is a female first name. My new neighbor is named Gay. Those who are named Gay do not particularly care to have joked made about their names.
Looking back on it, I maybe should have guessed that last part.
My new neighbor is a really good aim with snowballs.
Got a letter from Mum and Dad to see how I was settling in and ask if I'd gotten a real job yet. Pfff, why would I want a 'real' job? I'm an owl! These wings were made for flying around and finding stuff!
I didn't know it would snow here, ever! I mean, it's not as much as Tiger Eye Peak, but it's definitely winter. So scenic and peaceful. ...I should start a snowball fight with someone...
