The massive beast's form looms over you, its head nothing but a horned silhouette with glowing yellow eyes against the sky's ruddy moon. You have ventured very far from town, and there is no one else but you and the giant centipede staring you down with its burning eyes.
Despite his monstrous appearance, The Centipede (as the locals call him) is a gentle giant. Finding him alone in the woods may seem like the end at first, but the next thing you know, you've been brought back to the village's border, completely unscathed.
Though some are convinced it eats anything in its path and must be avoided at all cost, others consider it the village guardian. In reality, he is but a humble gentleman just trying to watch out for his neighbors.
But no one needs to know that, now, do they?
