Ginger was created as a gingerbread wickerbeast by Wix last Christmas vacation. Blaise, recognizing an opportunity to show off his magic, cast a spell to bring Ginger to life. Blaise presented Wix with the newly animated Ginger the next morning, Christmas day. Wix was overjoyed to have his creation as a constant companion and now cares for Ginger.
Ginger doesn't talk much, owing to their lack of a brain, but they feel all the emotions of a regular living creature. Their icing eyebrows reveal their feelings, but if they have something truly important to share they'll scratch out a pictograph with their claws (the red peppermint serves as a natural colored pencil). Ginger is firmly loyal to Wix and will anything to make him happy.
