Yeah, Cyrillic and other non-roman alphabets seem to be fine for villager names, from what I've seen? Like Japanese characters with Kanji/Kana names, etc. Sonya's Russian so I figured, let's put her actual name up.
(There's stuff in the TOS about like, they prefer you to use English so that the mods can be sure you're not saying inappropriate things, but I suspect that's intended for the forums / large untranslatable bodies of text)
