Welcome to the Official Snuppie interest check thread! here i will regularly be posting updates about the snuppies and my upcoming snup shop!
The following snup is an individual line, it's a common typing with a common color scheme, body pattern (cream underbelly) and shell pattern (striped). These are first drafts so there may be changes in the future. there might be more stages idk.
Young Snups - Stage 1 & 1/2:
These are young snups - The first is very young, it's hind legs haven't started to develop and it has no signs of a shell developing. It crawls everywhere with its front legs, much like a regular snail. it secrets slime too to aid in this process.
The second snup is more devloped. It has some shell scales coming in on its back, meaning its skin is forming a protective layer between the skin and where the shell is going to be. Its hing legs are also starting to develop but are still attached to its tail, and has no muscle. This stage of snup can stand on its two front legs and drags itself rather than crawls
Adolescent snup - Stage 2:
Adol snups have well formed shells. It's hind legs are fully developed and detached from its tail by now. They are now capable of walking, prancing and running, though adols have less stamina than adults. adols secret a sheen of bodily slime to protect its skin from the harsh sunlight, but they no longer need to secret the slime from their tails that they used for movement when they were younger. adol snups also have 4 tentacles, while young snups just have the two on their top lip
Stage 3: Adult
Adult snups are going to vary quite a lot in characteristics, they're generally taller and faster than other snups, with much more stamina, and have fully developed, extremely hard and dense shells that can cover their head to the tip of their tails. there will be many varieties of different shells. unlike real snails, which have shells to protect their organs, adult snuppies' shells are more for defense against predators and for fighting amongst each other.
Here's an adult snuppie from a different line:
This one brandishes a fully body, helmet type shell (rare) with a spear tip tail (very rare?). it has underbelly, stripes and spots as its body pattern (uncommon, will be more stripes in final draft lol), and its shell pattern is bold stripes and spots (uncommon). this is the dune coloration (sandy colors) (uncommon).
All this is subject to change, but i like how it looks so far. so that's where you guys come in! here's some questions:
what do you make of the designs shown so far?
what kind of patterns, colorations, types and additions would you like to see on the snups?
would you consider buying an adopt like this?
