------------
It had been quite some years now since the Bunns brothers had made their way as young boys here into the city of bright lights bustling streets, truly a city that never sleeps. They hadnt had any family to speak of for as long as they could remember and had always relied on one another for support and companionship, which they both seemed to handle well enough as they got older. The brothers had always seemed a bit at odds though, one being a proper and slightly OCD man, while the other was far more rough and tumble with a chip on his shoulder for no apparent reason. They loved each other dearly though, despite how often Dexter enjoyed getting on his brothers nerves, and always had each others back in the best and worst of times.
As the two came into maturity and age, they were able to pull themselves out of the life of common street rats, and into the life of proper working men...proper in a way at least. All their years of running and stealing what they needed had made them incredibly good at getting into a scene and disappearing without anyone being the wiser to their presence. It was exactly this skill, and each brothers uncanny skills in combat and weaponry, that made them each a perfect fit for the life of a hitman. Once they found their in, they took the chance and ran with it, of course ready for a more stable life of standing on their own.
Dexter absolutely loved every second of his job honestly, and was damn good at it. He took a great deal of joy, sometimes a little too much, in finding his marks and making a display of them before actually finishing the job. He had a tendency to very rarely use a weapon of any sort and much more keen in simply beating a man to death with his bare hands, and often doing such only after torturing them and really making a mess of things. Dexter wasnt your suave and cool hitman that you read about in comics and novels...no, he was the man you called when you needed someone very dead and needed a message to be sent for all to hear, a message that said he and his employer were the last people you ever wanted to cross in a dark alley on a bad day when there are debts to be paid.
Once the brothers had steady work and were no longer poor, they each were quick to get off the streets and into places of their own. Their opposite personalities made living together impossible though, so instead of making his brohters life hell on a daily basis, Dexter had opted to live in the loft that sat atop his brothers place; wanting to stay close, but not too close. This life worked for him though. He was able to go about his business as he wished, but also got to pop in on his dear brother from time to time to make sure he was doing alright and to make his life a little less organized for a moment.
For the moment though, it was business as usual with the Bunns brothers. Early this morning Dexter had gotten a call about a new job and was ready in only a matter of moment as he usually was. He was now sitting down to a quick breakfast of toast and eggs before he would soon head downstairs to see what his brothers day had in store for him...maybe something new would finally slide it's way across his table. He could only hope.
