Garichu is a living Glitch who lives in Kana's computer. Garichu was created by Kami, in order to get Kana to just stop being inside obsessing over anime 24/7. Kami wanted her to do so, but the language barrier prohibited him, and even with translation from other villagers, she didn't take him seriously. So, with Kami's godlike powers, he had created Garichu to.. "ease" her out of her room. He was sent to Kana's computer.

Whenever Kana used the computer, watched TV, did anything in her room, Garichu could see. He did have control over her computer fully, so most of the time while she was away from it, even just a few feet away, he would signal off a loud beep noise. That was his favorite thing to do as it startled Kana quite easily, and it would keep her away from the computer for a few hours in fear. He hadn't started to do much bigger things than occasionally beeping. A lot of times, he'd read her search history and laugh to himself, which kana then reports she heard chuckling from her PC.

Down the months he'd do more, occasionally flashing bright neon colors on her screen and distorting images and videos she saw. Sometimes letting his laugh be heard when kana is fully confused, and showing bright images of hyenas. He "communicated" with her in flashing pop up boxes, although it was all in Japanese Hiragana, which she could not understand. He'd also open many windows of anime-streaming sites, only to immediately laugh at her and flash the screen if she tried to click anything. He'd play loud, screeching sounds and disabled her from turning off the computer. All of this frighted Kana to no end, even at night she is terrified that the computer would do something. He's really done a good job.

Almost a year then, Kana absolutely dreads her computer, she still uses it, very rarely, but until then, she uses manga to keep her company. She's turned the computer monitor towards the wall when she's not using it because she feels unsafe with it. She goes outside a bit more, but usually it's just to complain about how her computer is completely wrecked and how she can't watch her favorite anime anymore. She'd buy a new one, but the village keeps saying they can't give her the money for one, even though the village is pretty wealthy... Kami watches and knows his plan is working.

Finally, on her 18th Birthday, February 14th, Kana was tired of not using her computer, and decided to present herself with using it for her 18th. She first celebrated with everyone for her first day of "womanhood", by having a big festival throughout the day! And once everyone was tired and went to bed, she stayed up early to go to her computer. She was finally, old enough to view the 18+ anime. THIS was the moment of her life.

And Garichu knew what she was going on about by looking at her history. He tried communicating with her once again with Hiragana, only having Kana to ignore. Flashing colors and beeps and screeching had begun, and instead of being scared, Kana was just annoyed. Still trying to navigate, Garichu has had enough, his paws physically coming out of the computer and grabbing her shoulders, revealing his face and body, he screeched at her in Japanese, with complete english subtitles appearing above his head:

"YOU SHOULDN'T BE LOOKING AT THIS!!! YOU'VE BEEN 18 FOR LESS THAN 16 HOURS YOU WEEABOO"

Kana had swiped his hands away and ran out of her house, completely shaken and crying. Kami, living outside Saibon had heard, and knew that Garichu had dealed quite the number, then! She didn't sleep that night, she just kinda sat outside until the sun rose and everyone woke up.

The next day, Kami had Kotoma translate while he talked to Kana. He explained that Garichu was a tool to get her outside more. Garichu himself appeared in his physical Hyena form and told her (with subtitles) that he had no ill-will towards her.

Since then, Garichu had explored his physical form more, and got to know other members besides Kana and Kami. He was considered a member of Saibon now, and had his own house built. He actually still enters Kana's computer, but this time only to talk and not to completely freak her out. He considers her a friend, and mainly likes to hang out with her. Kana... has no idea what to feel about him, since for a year he terrorized her computer... but she doesn't mind because he doesn't do such anymore.

He toys around with the other member's electronic devices, though!
