Villager: Yoshi

Everyone knew of the horror stories of villagers vanishing within the mists of the Dogtooth Mountains, but, were there ever any tales of villagers originating from it? On his morning patrol, Robert encountered one with this peculiar situation. A wolf, exhausted from no doubt traveling for miles without food and water was found unconscious by the roadside. Her fur was dirtied and clothes torn in every which way, it looked like she'd been here for a few hours if not longer. Robert lifted the wolf up in his arms and flew in a frenzy back to his village.

when she'd finally woken up, the canine was alarmed at the two brilliantly clad warriors staring at her from a careful distance. The larger dragon beamed at her. "Welcome to the lakeside village! Where did you come from, no one here seemed to recognize you when I brought you in town." The wolf, more than a little disoriented, tried to stand herself up to speak only to find out she needed assistance to do so. After greedily drinking a cup of water the wolf found her voice.

"I come from across the continent. I was climbing the mountain and found myself lost within the mists. My name is Yoshi." She started. The smaller four-winged dragon looked more than a little upset. "I, see..." The wolf frowned. Did she say something wrong? The other seemed to catch her look of confusion. "No, no! We're happy we could have helped you, it's just that we were really hoping you had some insight on the missing villager cases as of late." Yoshi's heart clenched at that. Missing villagers? She'd only come for a visit in unfamiliar territory, she did not expect any of this. Her ears drooped.

"No... I'm sorry. But, I would like to help in any way I can."

And help she did, despite being a stranger. Yoshi picked up a blacksmithing in replacement of the previous blacksmith who was among the missing. She would craft all manner of armor and weaponry for the warrior dragons and would frequent the mists to find clues of the Missing Ones despite the villagers protesting. Somehow, she always managed to return unscathed with whatever she could carry. Whenever a villager questioned her methods she would reply good-naturedly "A dog never forgets how to find their way home."

Yoshi's temporary home was cleaned up with help from the villagers and Roc constructed a display shelf for Yoshi to keep her most prized treasure: she would call it a "Scrying Orb," despite saying on multiple occasions that she was not a fortune teller. Yoshi shared most everything with the villagers and loved spending time with them but was always more than a little hesitant to be around others and bodies of water at the same time. Most her fellows thought she simply had an aversion to water and she dared not correct them. The truth was, Yoshi was not a wolf. In fact, she was a dragon from a faraway land that came to the Dogtooth Mountains on accident through a mystical pool of water in a cave completely obscured by the fogs that plagued the area. Reflections in the water revealed her true draconic form to all who could see her against the crystal clear backdrop of any body of water. She did not belong here, she belonged to her clan far far away, but her heart longs to help this small community of villagers that so happily accepted her. On days she visits her clan she searches for clues to these missing faces on her homeland as well as within the misty mountains she loves so dearly.
