Villager: Chaz

Chaz is a wannabe surfer and beach bum! But now that he's learned that manokits can't swim... he's kind of afraid to go out in the water. Still, paddling on a board doesn't count as swimming, right?

In deference to his father's wishes, Chaz became a doctor. He has a distintive bedside manner that's composed of dry humor and lightly sarcastic witticisms. Unfortunately this is mostly wasted on his patients, because he can't actually see them that well, and tends to address most of his remarks either to the ambient air, the bedside table, even the water glass.

Chaz is a shy, rather nervous individual, as if he had too many ears rather than too many eyes. If shouted at or spoken to angrily, he will run away- that's why four feet are better than two. He likes to please, and mixes up his medicines out of a genuine desire to help his fellow villagers. Experience has made him a fairly good doctor, but it hasn't done anything for his lack of confidence. Speaking gently and kindly to him will encourage him to open up. Then you can be bored to death by descriptions of his favorite hobbies, cloud-watching and medical journals/research. Chaz collects clouds like some people collect pokemon. Don't ask him about his cumulonimubus sighting collection

His many eyes can be off-putting for some villagers, and while this fact makes Chaz uncomfortable himself, he has never considered going through life with less. He loves being able to see all around him, even if he does get called 'Argus' or "Argus-eyed" for it. If he sees he's making someone nervous though, he will try to close as many as possible to look as 'normal' as possible. Unfortunately, he tends to forget normal villagers have two eyes, and will close them all except the one in the middle of his forehead, turning him into a cyclops-centuar. They do not blink in unision, and Chaz has individual control over each one. He is not quite sure how he got so many eyes, but he believes it is a medical experiment gone wrong.
