Luna looks stunning!

Luna's very special treasures!

About

Ouch! you hiss as you ease yourself to the ground, your back against the trunk of the traitorous tree whose roots had tripped you in the first place.

That was definitely a nasty sprained ankle, there was no way you'd be able to make it back to your village like this.

You look for anything you might be able to use as a splint, but come up empty.

"Oh dear, you're hurt!" a voice makes you startle harshly, your injury protesting at the sudden movement.

You'd thought you were alone out here.

"I'm sorry!"

You look up to see a winged deer peering worriedly down at you, before she kneels down before you.

"Where are you injured?"

You silently point to your ankle.

"Oh you poor thing," she gently fans you with her wings, immediately looking around for anything she could use.

"Here, chew this," she offers you a leaf, "It will help with the pain."

You had no reason to trust this stranger offering you a strange plant, but you inexplicably find her gentle presence calming, so you do as she says.

"I'm going to get some things, will you be okay for a few minutes?" she asks quietly.

You nod.

She nods back, and with a few strong wing beats she's up in the canopy of trees.

You realize abruptly as she rustles around above you that she was right, that plant really had helped with the pain.

In fact, you think you might even be able to get up.

You don't want to inconvenience the poor shy deer any more than you already have, after all, you reason as you try to balance yourself against the tree trunk.

"Hey, hey there," the deer startles you again.

How did she keep doing that?!

"Oh no, I'm sorry," she apologizes.

"I just don't want you to exacerbate your injury."

You sit back down, allowing her to examine your leg again.

"I'm a doctor, you see," the deer explained as she quickly and adeptly began crafting a splint.

"There," she smiled at her handiwork, then at you.

"How does that feel?"

It feels good, much better, and you tell her as much.

You don't know what you would have done without her help.

"Great," she nods.

"I've got some salve at home that will help with the healing," the deer doctor tells you, "My house is not far, please come with me. I can send you home with it."

You agree.

"Wonderful!" she smiles, helping you up, supporting you by the shoulder the whole walk.

You soon find that she wasn't lying, she really did live right next to the forest.

There was a cute little cottage, with a small garden full of gorgeous blooming plants, some of which you recognized, and some completely foreign to you.

She guides you through the door, the small home awaiting you two already warm and inviting, as if it had been anticipating your arrival.

There were shelves upon shelves lining every wall in the little house, jars and bottles of every shape and size covering any inch of available space.

There was so many medicines, salves, tonics and tinctures surrounding you that your head starts to spin, but the deer clearly knew these shelves like the back of her hoof, plucking a small jar from one of the shelves and handing it to you.

"Here," she places it in your paws.

"Apply this balm to the injury twice a day for one week, and no adventuring until then!" she holds up a finger for emphasis.

You agree with a laugh, feigning a sigh, before thanking the doctor and stepping out of the warm little cottage just outside the woods.

You blink, and you're inexplicably in your own home.
