The EVO, or Embryonic Variable Organism, is the form all Fordians begin life as. Once the Fordian embryo reaches this stage, its phenotype chromosome takes over and metamorphoses it into its adult form.
Ordinarily this stage of life is bypassed entirely in-utero, but malicious magic which formats a Fordian's developmental data can temporarily revert them into an EVO before their system restore kicks in and returns them to normal. While formatted, an EVO is virtually defenseless aside from slapping things with its placenta.
