Info: Thane is a steam-powered robot, fueled by tea and fascinated with music. Although a mechanical individual with a constant solemn or underwhelmed look on his face, he has more going on inside than he seems. The sentience he has comes from the soul of his deceased alchemy-obsessed inventor that his core absorbed. The core he has is shaped like an hourglass and as the soul sands run out, he must absorb another soul to maintain his sentience. It has taken a century or two for him to learn about this, though by that time, he has unknowingly stolen the souls of some of his father's kin. Eventually he's learned to control it and has also learned how to communicate with the dead.
