About

intro

Rumours say that the flower shop in Aurborage has many unique plants that couldn't be found anywhere else and that the plants were very well taken care of. Following the map you received when entering the town, you decided to pay the shop a visit.

You followed your map through the town, through the forest, and to... a large tree? There were vines crawling on the sides of the tree and a flower garden was nearby. Taking a closer look, however, you can see that the tree has a door and arc shaped holes which you assumed were windows.

Ting-a-ling

The heavy wooden door creaks open and a bell chimes as a badger steps out of the tree. As he did, you managed to take a quick glimpse of the inside. The inside was brightly lit, the sunlight gave the room a warm glow. The room was filled with rows upon rows of different plants. There were even shelves filled with more plants on the walls.

"Oh! I didn't see you there! Welcome to Fescue’s Flowers! My name's Fescue. How may I help you?"

You're precious and you’re soft, until your work is harmed.”

Name: Fescue
Pronouns: he/him
Birthday: July 11

Likes: cooking, flowers, gardening, nature, rocks
Dislikes: interruptions, others ruining his work, strong winds

Fescue was a soft, kind soul. He always knew how to cheer someone up when they felt down. Soft spoken and sweet with everyone around him, he liked to keep to his gardening and plants. He found solace in having living things surrounding him and letting him take care of them. It was one of his many pleasures. He also liked to follow Gizmo around from time to time, letting the Doctor teach him a thing or two about the plants they saw while out in nature. He very much enjoyed that. There weren’t many things he disliked; perhaps strong winds, because they sometimes ruined harvests and uprooted his precious plants.

However, if one dares interrupt his harvesting system, Fescue would turn into a completely different being. Angry and ready to snap at anyone to ruin his day. Better stay clear of that if anything happens to his plants.

backstory

Fescue comes from a long line of florists and farmers. His forefathers and their forefathers had always loved wildlife and nature, so it was destiny really when Fescue decided he wanted to open up his own shop in a village a little way from his home. Moving was proving to be difficult for him, as he loved his family with all his soul, especially his mother, but after she began to feel ill, the badger took it upon himself to move away so he can raise money for medicine to treat her. He would always create incredible arrangements of flowers for every Christmas, birthday, thanksgiving, Easter, and every other opportunity he had to make people smile with the gift of flowers. But he couldn’t stand seeing his mother in such a way, so he sat down, so he left his home, and found a new one in the countryside.

The badger now lives in the trunk of a tree, accompanied only by his flowers and the occasional customer who wanders in, looking for flowers.

After a few months of work, he is able to send enough funds back to his home to pay for his mother’s treatment, and slowly, with every visit, she seems to get better, until she’s back to her old self again, much to Alder's relief. However, when they ask him to return home, he politely refuses, saying he’s found a new home in his oak tree, and he’s found his place in the world where he resides. They allow him to leave, but under the condition that he must visit as often as possible, which, of course, he agrees to.

Fescue now stays in his oak tree, happily residing in his own little world, serving customers and neighbors, who slowly grow into friends.
