Grumpy, pessimistic, suspicious, Dashiel rarely smiles or looks happy. With his sour sense of humor, he gets the most joy out of correcting other people's mistakes. If nothing else is available, he'll correct you on how to say his name, no matter which way you pronounce it, as Dash-L or Dash-sheel, he'll claim it's said the other way. He doesn't have much enthusiasm for anything, but he does like it when others spend time to bring him out of his self-encrusted shell. That's probably why he gets along so well with Cheema.

As Kessi's adopted brother, he tends to hang out a lot with her. They grew up together on the edge of Quetzal Palace, and supported themselves by scavenging for goods. Even now, he follows her around the outskirts of Quetzal Palace, picking up various pieces of flotsam to sell- usually anything Kessi's missed. And Dashiel would really like to know: who keeps dropping all of those furcash coins?

Kal protects both Kessi and Dashiel from monsters that might roam too close to the city, and has been their friend since childhood. He is one of the few whom Dashiel feels completely comfortable around.

Dashie loves his long and luxurious mane/hair, and has been caught brushing it and admiring his reflection in the mirror, much to his embarrassment. He would like to be viewed as more dangerous than he really is, and the hair thing doesn't help that.

Dashiel and his sister Kessi are the cofounders and co-Presidents of Explorer Enterprises, a company that sells both finished products and raw materials to all of Furvilla. Dashiel has very little to do with the side branch of the company that deals with the minipet industry. He prefers to keep the warriors working for the company both happy and content, since they protect both the gatherers and the animal husbandry workers. Dash has a great respect for warriors, most of whom he met through his friend Kal.
