"That's an odd name," people would say.
Silverbrand would simply respond back "Well, I didn't pick it."
Though the horse never did find a name they liked any better, so they kept on being Silverbrand the Smith.
More frequently seen acquaintances sometimes called them Silver, and Silverbrand just shrugged and accepted it as a sign of them having become friends.
Silverbrand was born in Quetzal, but never quite got used to the thinner air. They eventually commissioned the creation of an airtight suit with an oxygen tank, to allow them to get sufficient oxygen when doing strenuous labor. Silverbrand takes exquisite care of their suit.
A room opened up in a recently renovated flying house, and the horse inquired about it. Learning smithing techniques around the world was a nice bit of excitement in Silverbrand's normally quiet life. And they even get to test out their own creations from time to time.
