As travelers pass from the safety of Olde Foxbury, into the surrounding woods, it isn't just monsters they have to worry about, their purses ripe for pickings. As long as they give the contents up willingly, Ghoul lets them pass--he's interested in coin, not bloodshed, looking to buy potions to cure what he views as his affliction.

Spirits run wild through the woods, always grasping for his attention. Fallen warriors, unlucky travelers, long gone hermits like himself. They all flit in and out of his sight, whispers of who they were and how they died a constant presence in his life. Ghoul takes to potion-making and herbology in hopes to find something to stop it all.

So toss your coins and flee, let the ferret collect and hope for a chance he'll no longer see the wee ghosties in the corner of his eye.
